Fabric and care
AeroDry™ performance polyester with mesh side panel construction. Machine wash cold, hang dry. Wash a red hat separately the first two times so the color sets without transferring.

Questions we get
Will the red fade? Not if you keep it out of the dryer and out of direct sun when it is drying. Heat is what pulls color out of performance fabric, not washing.
Is red a good color for visibility on the road? It is one of the better ones in daylight. For low light, pair it with something reflective, because a hat alone is not a visibility strategy at 5 AM.
Does it work for cycling under a helmet? Yes. The low-profile closure sits flat and the mesh sides keep airflow moving where a helmet traps heat.
